Winter, Premium, Convenience Packages.
Heated Leather Seats and Dual Moon Roofs.
Factory Warranty for two more years or 20,000 miles.
This is a sporty little German car with a six speed stick shift that is very hard to find.
Dr. Ron says  “One woman’s trash is another one’s treasure”.

Compulsively Equipped and Maintained Volvo

21 06 2009

This was someone’s baby.

2005 Volvo XC70 AWD, 18,300 miles, $19,500.

The car was purchased new, 11/30/2004.
I’m selling it because I’m buying a new XC60.
The car is in mint condition.
The mileage is low (18,300) because on average I only drive it 20-28 miles each week.
This car  was bought new and is for sale by a meticulous gentleman
who takes pride in the quality of the equipment in his car.
It is equipped with a remote starter (Astrostart)
and comes with two remotes 1/3 mile range.
Rear Park Assist:
Park Assist utilizes ultrasound sensors located in the (rear) bumper
to detect objects, people, or vehicles within the range of 4-5 fts.
Audio System:
Volvo s premier sound system: 75 watt, AM-FM Radio, (6) Disk CD-PLAYER
with Dolby Surround Sound (PLII) (Volvo), 300 watt external amplifier,
(11) DynAudio Speakers, 400 watt sub-woofer.
Exterior Metallic Paint has been treated
with 57 coats of Klasse High Gloss Acrylic Sealant!
Elastic, non-chip, shrink-proof, heat and scratch resistant
- protective seal against ultraviolet rays, salt water, acid rain and industrial pollutants.
One coat will last up to 12 months!
Dealers and auto detailers will generally charge you
from $250 to as much as $400 to apply ONE coat of acrylic sealant!
(Dr. Ron wants to have this done to his teeth!!!)
Traction control, heated Leather power seats and tinted Moonroof
As you can see, more care went into equipping this car than most parenting I see around.

Volvo AWD Turbo Wagon

21 06 2009

34,000 miles, loaded, $17,000.

$17,000 2006 VOLVO V70 AWD TURBO WAGON. 34,000 miles.

Heated Leather Seats, etc…
This is a rare AWD wagon without the phony SUV look of the Cross Country.
Elegant, Safe, and Fast.
The seller was an estate in Northern VA (No snow, salt, or road sand – ever).
The deceased bought it new in 2004 and never left the state.
Do you know how an 80 year old driver treats a car? Gently….

New Body Style VW Jetta

18 06 2009

55,000 Arizona and Cross Country Highway Miles

2006 VW Jetta 2.5 Value Edition.  55,000 miles, $9,300.

Modern 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine.
One owner, no kids, no pets, no smoke.
Just detailed in and out, but needs new tires.
Only selling cause I’m moving to Boston.
David the buyer said:
"The seller got the car detailed in and out
and delivered the title and lien release as promised.
If the rest of the young people in the US are as together as this guy,
then this country does have a future."

Gen Y Future Box

19 01 2009

Every one loves these things….

2008 Scion xB 26,400 miles $11,500.

We bought the car used in Arizona from a couple who didn’t need it;
the husband had bought a new truck and that became his primary work vehicle.
They had only owned it for a couple months
and it still looked like it came off a dealer lot.
I am now selling it because I have downgraded
to a $1200 car to free up some credit card debt.
It comes with a transferable Platinum warranty
(which expires in 6/2013 or 100,000 miles).
Average about 26mpg Code Alarm security
with Remote Start Automatic transmission with quickshift manual mode
Dark cloth interior Metallic Black paint
Power Steering Power windows Power antilock Brakes with traction control
Digital Speedometer with analog tachometer
Front/side airbags MP3 CD player with iPod connector.

Midwives Deliver!!!

19 01 2009

Another Cool Gen-Y Box.

2006 Scion xB. Stick, MP3 input, 32,000 miles,  $9,000.
One Year left on Toyota Power Train Warranty.  Clean title no lien.

We bought it new and are only selling it because we don’t want two cars any longer.
My wife is a midwife and drives the car; I take the T.

Kelly wanted a stick, hatchback, fuel economy, and Toyota quality,
so Dr Ron looked into the haystack and pulled out this gem.

Toyota Matrix with Factory Warranty

19 01 2009

One Owner, 23,000 miles, $13,000.

2007 Toyota Matrix, 23,000 miles, $13,000.
This one owner wagon has a Toyota Bumper to Bumper Warranty
for 6 months/13,000 miles and a Power Train Warranty for 30 months/37,000 miles.
It is in like new condition, but once Julia’s boys get into it - Watch out !!!

This car was built in April 2007 and sold in July 2007,
two months before the 08s came out.
(Its what they call a 2007 1/2 in the car business.)
Dr. Ron calls it a 2007 5/6ths to be exact.
This is why the mileage is so low and the warranty is still alive.
Also, while other 07s were driving through slush in the harsh winter of 06/07,
this car did not yet exist.

Certified Pre Owned AWD Toyota Matrix XR

19 01 2009

The most fuel efficient AWD car on the road.

2006 AWD Toyota Matrix XR, 45,000 miles, $12,900

Carrie is a teacher and has a 100 mile round trip commute
on secondary roads in northern Massachussetts.
So she needed great gas mileage, all wheel drive, and super reliability.
She also needed a car that could go 25,000 miles per year for many years to come,
but not at a new car price
This Toyota was the answer.

Toyota 6 Speed Pocket Rocket

19 01 2009

Toyota Matrix with 56,000 miles, $12,500

2005 TOYOTA MATRIX XRS.
This is an incredible little car.  Very fast and very sporty.
Where else can you find a six-speed manual transmission?
Try an italian supercar.

AWD Matrix with Toyota Warranty

19 01 2009

6 Month Toyota Powertrain Warranty, 57,000 miles, $11,300.

2005 Toyota Matrix AWD.
This car was reconditioned to "like new" by a New England Lexus Dealer
who was gracious enough to give Dr. Ron $1000 off the "Internet Price".
New tires, new brakes, Toyota Powertrain Warranty good until August 2010.

AWD Fun in Toyota Matrix

19 01 2009

AWD Toyota Matrix, 65,000 miles, $10,000

2005 AWD Toyota Matrix 65,000 miles, $10,000

This car was bought new, it has no dents or dings and is in excellent shape.
The reason for selling was the owner bought a 2010 VW Passat Diesel
which gets 45 miles to the gallon.
The Matrix gets around 30 miles to the gallon.
Every thing is in good condition, just had new front brakes installed and the oil changed.
The car came from cow country in upstate New York
When Monica and Dr. Ron went to pick up the car
they figured it had never seen a traffic jam in its life.
The only businesses along the road were ATV dealers.

$9,300 Toyota Matrix Clone

19 01 2009

Pontiac Vibe built in a Toyota factory - $9,300

2005 Pontiac Vibe with 53,981 miles for $9,300.

This is not a six speed 185 Horsepower beast like the Matrix above.
But just like a base Matrix, it has a Toyota Corolla engine,
transmission, and all other mechanicals.
It’s not your uncle’s Pontiac.
Dr. Ron knows how to buy Toyotas at Pontiac prices….
Other good bets are Chevy Prizms and Chrysler cars with Mitsubishi power trains.
Iona should be happy.

AWD Toyota Matrix with CPO Warranty.

19 01 2009

Two Years and 40,000 miles remaining on Toyota CPO Warranty.

2005 Toyota Matrix XR AWD. 61,000 miles. $8,500.

David the seller was a non-smoking High School science teacher in Long Island, NY.
He delivered the car to Yotam upstate.

This car was a bargain.
It spent its first five years in Suffolk County where there is little road salt.
It did have a dent and a cracked tail light,
but Yotam plans to load it with firewood,
and drive the dirt roads of Columbia County NY.

All-in-all this is just what the buyer wanted:
Best fuel economy of any AWD vehicle, Toyota quality, and a bargain.

Pennsylvannia Grandma’s Subaru Forester

18 01 2009

20,000 Miles, Factory Warranty, Giant Moonroof. $15,500.

2006 AWD Subaru Forester 2.5 X Premium 20,000 miles.
Huge Moon Roof, Heated Seats, Climate Control, CD Changer, etc…
The seller was a little old lady from Harrisburg PA
The buyer (see photo) is in Vet School.
The Forester’s load capacity is about 1000 lbs,
so Daniela will be able to carry sheep, goats, hogs, and calves.
Dr. Ron says “Sorry - no Bulls or Heiffers.”

Moving To Europe! Must Sell Subaru!

17 01 2009

Incredible All Wheel Drive Value

2005 Subaru Outback 2.5i Wagon. 42,000 miles. $13,000.
AWD
, Manual transmission. Side Air Bags. New brakes and tires.

Sebastian and Antje needed AWD for ski trips to VT, room in back for the dogs,
and fuel economy for the 21st century… oh and a bargain.  Sound familiar?
We need to find some nice people moving overseas who are desperate to sell their Subaru. Done.

Need a Van for Grandchildren

17 01 2009

Sorry to sell our Subaru…

AWD 47,000 mile 2006 Subaru Impreza $12,500

New tires and brakes, car in excellent condition.
We are selling this great car so we can buy a van that fits all of our grandchildren.
It is in great condition, has never been in an accident,
and has one shopping center ding in a door.
We are the original owners.

Dr. Arnold’s Stick Shift Forester XS $12,200

17 01 2009

Huge Moon Roof, Heated Seats and New Tires.

2005 Subaru Forester XS, 59,000 miles, $12,200.

cruise, regular gas, premium wheels (real nice),
extra wheels for snows, roof rack, new
high performance tires.
This Forester has been well maintained and runs like new.
Cheryl and Dr. Ron worked on this one together for six months.
Sometimes car buyers need that time to figure out exactly what they want, need, and can afford.

Grandma’s Silver Subaru

17 01 2009

26,000 miles, AWD, $12,000

2004 Subaru Forester X, AWD Automatic, Side air bags.   Another rare find – a Subaru that has spent most of its life parked.  This like new car was bought from the estate of an elderly woman in CT.  On the way home David and Dr. Ron stopped at a Subaru Dealer to inquire about a used low mileage Forester.  The dealer showed us a dirty 30,000 mile 2004 that was bought at auction from Hertz  Rental for the low “no haggle” price of $16,000.  Enough said.

Subaru With Two Moonroofs

16 01 2009

49,000 miles, AWD Subaru, $10,500.

2005 SUBARU LEGACY SE AWD WAGON with two moon roofs and 49,000 miles.
Bought by Judith from a mature couple outside of Hartford CT.
Judith says: “Dr. Ron, you are an angel in disguise.”
Dr. Ron’s webmaster says of her Subaru,
"My ‘97 Subaru has over 160,000 miles and still purrs like a cat!"

UPDATE JULY 01 2009:
JUDITH IS MOVING TO EUROPE AND SOLD THE CAR TODAY FOR $9,500.
SHE DROVE IT 16,000 MILES IN 15 MONTHS AND IT ONLY COST HER $1,000.
THAT’S ONLY 6 CENTS PER MILE OR $66
PER MONTH FOR SUBARU AWD QUALITY AND TWO MOONROOFS.

SHE CAME OUT $3,000 AHEAD OF THE STOCK MARKET,
AND SHE HAD THE USE OF A GREAT CAR FOR OVER A YEAR.
THE POINT HERE IS THAT IF YOU BUY A QUALITY USED CAR
AT A DECENT PRICE YOUR MONTHLY COST STAYS LOW.

Subaru Only Driven 3,000 Miles Per Year

16 01 2009

25,000 miles, All-wheel drive, $10,500.

2001 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon only 25,000 miles driven by one owner.
This was a hard to find stick shift in "like new" condition with almost new tires.

Grandpa’s Subaru With Seat Covers Since New

15 01 2009

38,000 Senior Citizen miles bought from estate for $9,600

2002 Subaru Outback LTD AWD Wagon 38,000 miles.
Two moonroofs, Side Air Bags. Heated leather power seats covered since new.

When the executrix of the estate told Dr. Ron
that her father had kept the leather covered since new,
it reminded Ron of his grandmother’s living room furniture always covered in plastic.
When these karmic moments occasionally come up, one needs to jump on the car.
Just what Joanna wanted for commuting to Rockland County.

$9,500 All Wheel Drive Subaru with 55,000 miles.

15 01 2009

Another city car becomes a country car.

2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS Wagon.
New brakes and tires.  55,000 miles, $9,500.
This Subaru was driven on Connecticut highways by a packaging salesman,
then sat idle waiting for a buyer.
It will be put to good use on the dirt roads of Berkshire and Columbia Counties.

A Car with Karma

15 01 2009

 62,000 miles, AWD Subaru $7,900.

2002 SUBARU FORESTER-L AWD.
This sought-after Forester “mini – SUV” body style was hard to find with only 62k on a 7 year old car.

The seller was a Yoga Teacher.
The Buyer a Therapist.

The Yoga Teacher delivered it to the family therapist in Great Barrington Mass. She drove him back to Long Island.  Apparently they hit it off, and she gave him her favorite book on couples’ relationships… Dr. Ron charges for car finding, but not for his dating service… You never know.

Dr. Ron’s bookkeeper has the same car and says, "My 95 Subaru has 150k and is still going strong."

Grandpa’s Subaru Driven 4,000 Miles Per Year

14 01 2009

45,000 miles, AWD, $6,300.

1998 SUBARU LEGACY L AWD STATION WAGON.
The car lived in the 80 year old gentlemen’s garage.
How do we know his age?  His DOB was printed on the CT title.
The point here is that this Subaru is fully depreciated, but has barely been used.  And 80 year olds drive gently.
Dr. Ron and his client (the buyer) Dr. Steve got under the car on their backs with a flashlight.  The underbody looked new….

Grandpa’s Ford Taurus.  Driven 4,000 miles per year.

1999 Ford Taurus SE Wagon, 42,000 miles, $3,500.
New tires, brakes, battery, and wipers
Eight Passenger Car with three rows of seats driven gently and garaged by Grandpa.
When Dr. Ron asked John the seller about the dings around the front fenders,
John said "My 80 year old mother used the braille method of driving:
she bumped into everything in the shopping center parking lot until she found the exit."

Moving to Panama! $1,900 Stick Shift Wagon

22 07 2006

Practical, Reliable, Hyundai Wagon.

1998 Hyundai Elantra Wagon 71,000 miles, $1,900.

One-owner, I bought it new in 1999 and I’ve kept it well-maintained ever since.
(All service records are available).
The interior is immaculate because I rarely had passengers. Non-smoker.
There is a little rust on the inside bottom of the front doors,
also my son backed into a parked car when it was only a few months old,
and I had to replace the rear lift gate (the latch is just a little sticky now).
The tires have very few miles on them and the car has a new battery.
I am selling the car because I’m moving out of the country in December.
I’m retiring to an island off the coast of Panama.
I didn’t think I would ever sell it because it’s been a great car; no problems.
I swore this car would outlive me!
