Incredible All Wheel Drive Value

2005 Subaru Outback 2.5i Wagon. 42,000 miles. $13,000.
AWD
, Manual transmission. Side Air Bags. New brakes and tires.

Sebastian and Antje needed AWD for ski trips to VT, room in back for the dogs,
and fuel economy for the 21st century… oh and a bargain.  Sound familiar?
We need to find some nice people moving overseas who are desperate to sell their Subaru. Done.

Sometimes car buyers need that time to figure out exactly what they want, need, and can afford.

Grandma’s Silver Subaru

17 01 2009

26,000 miles, AWD, $12,000

2005 Subaru Forester X, AWD Automatic, Side air bags.
Another rare find – a Subaru that has spent most of its life parked.
This like new car was bought from the estate of an elderly woman in CT.
On the way home David and Dr. Ron stopped at a Subaru Dealer
to inquire about a used low mileage Forester.
The dealer showed us a dirty 30,000 mile 2004 that was bought at auction
from Hertz  Rental for the low “no haggle” price of $16,000.  Enough said.

Timeless Stick Shift Subaru Impreza

16 01 2009

39,000 Miles, Factory Warranty, $11,500.

2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i AWD Wagon. 39,000 miles, $11,500.
Stick shift, new tires, power everything. Subaru powertrain warranty.

Mariken’s 1998 Stick Impreza had 175,000 miles
and a bit of rust, but was still running strong.
She wanted a similar low mileage car to replace it for all her Berkshire driving.
Low mileage stick shift Subarus are hard to come by,
since people buy these economical cars to drive them.
This car’s first and only owner drove the car just 8,000 miles per year,
and because the car is a 2006 1/2, the Subaru warranty is good for another 11 months.

Subaru With Two Moonroofs

16 01 2009

49,000 miles, AWD Subaru, $10,500.

2005 SUBARU LEGACY SE AWD WAGON with two moon roofs and 49,000 miles.
Bought by Judith from a mature couple outside of Hartford CT.
Judith says: “Dr. Ron, you are an angel in disguise.”
Dr. Ron’s webmaster says of her Subaru,
"My ‘97 Subaru has over 160,000 miles and still purrs like a cat!"

UPDATE JULY 01 2009:
JUDITH IS MOVING TO EUROPE AND SOLD THE CAR TODAY FOR $9,500.
SHE DROVE IT 16,000 MILES IN 15 MONTHS AND IT ONLY COST HER $1,000.
THAT’S ONLY 6 CENTS PER MILE OR $66
PER MONTH FOR SUBARU AWD QUALITY AND TWO MOONROOFS.

SHE CAME OUT $3,000 AHEAD OF THE STOCK MARKET,
AND SHE HAD THE USE OF A GREAT CAR FOR OVER A YEAR.
THE POINT HERE IS THAT IF YOU BUY A QUALITY USED CAR
AT A DECENT PRICE YOUR MONTHLY COST STAYS LOW.

Subaru Only Driven 3,000 Miles Per Year

16 01 2009

25,000 miles, All-wheel drive, $10,500.

2001 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon only 25,000 miles driven by one owner.
This was a hard to find stick shift in "like new" condition with almost new tires.

Grandpa’s Subaru With Seat Covers Since New

15 01 2009

38,000 Senior Citizen miles bought from estate for $9,600

2002 Subaru Outback LTD AWD Wagon 38,000 miles.
Two moonroofs, Side Air Bags. Heated leather power seats covered since new.

When the executrix of the estate told Dr. Ron
that her father had kept the leather covered since new,
it reminded Ron of his grandmother’s living room furniture always covered in plastic.
When these karmic moments occasionally come up, one needs to jump on the car.
Just what Joanna wanted for commuting to Rockland County.

$9,500 All Wheel Drive Subaru with 55,000 miles.

15 01 2009

Another city car becomes a suburban car.

2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS Wagon.
New brakes and tires.  55,000 miles, $9,500.
This Subaru was driven on Connecticut highways by a packaging salesman,
then sat idle waiting for a buyer.
It will be put to good use on the dirt roads of Berkshire and Columbia Counties.

A Car with Karma

15 01 2009

 62,000 miles, AWD Subaru $7,900.

2002 SUBARU FORESTER-L AWD.
This sought-after Forester “mini – SUV” body style was hard to find with only 62k on a 7 year old car.

The seller was a Yoga Teacher.
The Buyer a Therapist.

The Yoga Teacher delivered it to the family therapist in Great Barrington Mass. She drove him back to Long Island.  Apparently they hit it off, and she gave him her favorite book on couples’ relationships… Dr. Ron charges for car finding, but not for his dating service… You never know.

Dr. Ron’s bookkeeper has the same car and says, "My 95 Subaru has 150k and is still going strong."

Grandpa’s Subaru Driven 4,000 Miles Per Year

14 01 2009

45,000 miles, AWD, $6,300.

1999 SUBARU LEGACY L AWD STATION WAGON.
The car lived in the 80 year old gentlemen’s garage.
How do we know his age?  His DOB was printed on the CT title.
The point here is that this Subaru is fully depreciated, but has barely been used.  And 80 year olds drive gently.
Dr. Ron and his client (the buyer) Dr. Steve got under the car on their backs with a flashlight.  The underbody looked new….
